Skills Update’s Kelston Campus offers a range of programmes tailored to complement community needs and employment demands in West Auckland. It is a 2-minute drive to Kelston Mall, and 10 minutes from New Lynn’s favourite retail centre, LynnMall. Students can hop on trains and bus services close to campus to utilise their discounted public transport fares. Our warm and friendly staff are passionate about supporting the needs of diverse learners that make up our student population. Trade students undergo hands-on training and hone their skills in real-world settings, under the guidance of experienced industry professionals. Campus facilities include on-site parking, fully-equipped workshops, computer labs, a spacious gym, printing & photocopying services, and a student canteen featuring a table tennis table. Tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits are supplied to all classes, and noodles are available to students who haven’t had a meal. The vast amount of common spaces provide students and staff with opportunities to mingle, share experiences, and foster a stronger sense of community. Our work-ready and confident graduates contribute the ripple effect of improving the West Auckland community.
