North Shore Delivery Site

Skills Update’s Tauranga Campus operates within the Papamoa Community Centre, located in Papamoa Plaza and across the road from Fashion Island. There is an abundance of retail shops and food choices at both shopping malls, including a Countdown and Pak’n’Save. A short stroll up the road is the beautiful Papamoa surf beach and Papamoa Surf Lifesaving Club, with picnic areas and safe swimming.

The centre is easily accessible by car from Pongakawa, Te Puke, and Welcome Bay as well as Mt Maunganui and Tauranga residents; with parking readily available for evening courses. Public transport is available via the Baybus service, which also stops just outside the Community Centre. The Papamoa and Mt Maunganui area is relatively flat which also makes it good for cycling to courses. The centre has a kitchen available for students, with a microwave and fridge, and tea/coffee facilities. Skills Update provides tea/coffee, milk, biscuits, and pot-noodles for your convenience. The Papamoa Community Centre also houses the library which is open until 5pm, where students can study in a quiet atmosphere, and access printing/photocopying and computers.
