Recreation and Sport

The selection of recreation and sport programmes cover the essential knowledge and skills required for people working in multi-disciplinary roles in a variety of recreation and sport contexts. Students will benefit from the range of content covering from simple concepts and definitions of recreation to managing facilities, security, emergencies, risks and hazards involving recreation activities. These programmes also cover unit standards that equip students with skills that are useful in any work situation like customer service, communication, writing, team work, time management, professional behaviour and personal presentation.

  • National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (Core Skills) (level 2) (40 credits)
  • National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (level 3) (42 credits)
  • National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (level 3) with embedded level 2 Core Skills (80 credits)
